Introudction of Full Bore Retrievable Packer
The Full Bore Retrievable Packers are the Test Packer that is specially designed for Full Bore Drill Stem Testing and Tubing Conveyed Perforating operations.
The full opening design of the Retrievable packer permits unrestricted fluid flow and tool movement through the tubing bore and pumping large volumes of fluid with a minimum pressure drop, and allows the passage of a through tubing type perforating gun. So this design can help to make the tool usable for multiple operations with one trip in the hole-such as perforating operation, well testing operation, treat service, squeeze work etc.
Structure of the Full Bore Retrievable Packer
The Full Bore Retrievable Packer body includes a J-slot mechanism, mechanical slips, packing element, and hydraulic slips. Large, heavy-duty slips are used in the hydraulic hold-down mechanism and help prevent the tool from being pumped up the hole. The packer is equipped with the drag block.
Features and Benefits of the Full Bore Retrievable Packer
* The full-opening design of the retrievable packer mandrel bore allows large volumes of fluid to pump through the tool. Tubing-type guns and other wireline tools can be run through the packer.
* The retrievable packer can be set and relocated as many times as necessary with simple tubing manipulation.
* Tungsten carbide slips of the retrievable packer will provide greater holding ability and improved wear resistance in high-strength casing.
